Koivu Solutions was founded in Finland in 2017 by enterprise software builders with more than 25 years of experience developing and implementing systems for international companies. Today, Koivu operates as an EU SaaS company with its product and operational roots in Finland.
The company first built Koivu Cloud to turn spreadsheet-driven and data-intensive processes into governed enterprise applications. Koivu later created Sotender to modernise the way organizations connect flexible workers with open shifts.
Today Sotender is Koivu’s flagship growth product. Koivu Cloud powers Sotender and many enterprise applications. Both reflect the same belief: software should be easy to adopt, grounded in real work and operated responsibly for the long term.

PubliX Group acquired Koivu Solutions in December 2025. Koivu continues to operate as an independent company, and customers continue to be served by the same team. Current Koivu owners remain in operational roles and reinvested in PubliX, creating long-term alignment.
The group brings together specialist SaaS companies serving public administration, welfare and healthcare. Shared capabilities in finance, compliance, cybersecurity, AI and international growth give Koivu more capacity while preserving its entrepreneurial autonomy.
